Weed Infestation

Weeds compete with crops for resources such as water, nutrients, space, light and allow pathogens to breed on them. This reduces the estimated crop yield. While the farmers want to tackle this problem at the earliest, locating the weeds in the midst of crops on a huge farm is a task in itself that demands time and resources.

Our Solution locates the exact field coordinates that have started showing signs of weed growth and relays this information to  the farmers. This enable the farmers to the tackle the problem before it spreads, thereby saving time, effort and money.

 

Pest and Disease Infestation

Even with utmost planning and care, a farm could be exposed to pests and diseases that could set back the production cycle. As the population grows and resources on earth continue to deplete,it becomes all the more necessary to minimize food wastage. Furthermore, small and medium sized farmers cannot afford to deviate from the planned crop yield.

To combat these issues, our solution uses AI,machine learning and computer vision to detect diseases on a field weeks before the first visible signs show up. This gives the farmers the required time window to stop the disease from spreading. Similarly, we are able to detect early signs of pest infestation which can then eradicated quickly.

Soil Health

1. The first step to ensuring a successful crop cycle requires a farm with optimum soil fertility.

2. However, the soil quality can never be identical on the entire farm. If a crop is grown in a region that has depleted soil health, the end crop will be sub-standard.

3. Our solution quickly analyses the field for soil characteristics and points out the areas where soil health has been compromised. This enables the farmers to rectify the soil health in those regions before a crop is sown

Water Distribution

Fields often fall victim to uneven water distribution. This results in few areas that are water logged and few others where the soil is deprived of moisture.

Our solution identifies these problem areas which then allows the farms to take the necessary action immediately.

Crop Yield

The most important question for any farmer is and how successful was my crop cycle and what better can be done for the next cycle?

Our solution is able to measure the current crop yield and compare to the ideal crop yield that removes all guesswork. This enables the farmer to better plan the next crop cycle and increase his profit margin.
